Today our young people and birth children enjoyed a day of activities at the Thriftwood Scout Camp, a wonderful facility set in woodland just outside Brentwood, Essex.
After a morning enjoying the ‘Cresta Run’, a purpose built track and carts, and the pedal car olympics, (where it was great to see the older youngsters helping push the smallest ones who couldn’t reach the pedals!), we retired to a log cabin on site for a very enjoyable lunch.
After lunch we held our award ceremony where every young person received a certificate recognising something the Young People at Heart team had seen the young person improve in or achieve.
Well done everyone who helped make the day a success.
