It was with great sadness that we learned that one of our foster carers, Linda Daniel, passed away unexpectedly over the weekend.
Linda had been a foster carer for many years, and joined us from Time for Children two years ago.
In a letter to staff and foster carers, Gary Cox, Founder of Young Peoiple at Heart, said that Linda was an exceptional foster carer and had fostered some very challenging young people. He said he often referred to Linda as ‘our foster carer of last resort’, because if Linda couldn’t foster a young person, the needs of the young person couldn’t be met by fostering. She had remained in contact with many of the young people she had fostered and gave her time willingly to support or advise other foster carers in the organisation.
Linda will be sadly missed by the Young People at Heart family.
