A new chapter in Foster Care comes to Herefordshire and the surrounding areas that’s proudly not for profit and for Young people!
Young People at Heart was founded by Gary and Davina Cox in September 2014 as a not-for-profit fostering organisation where outcomes for young people were paramount to the organisation and everyone associated with it. That philosophy has served the organisation well as now, just 3 years on, they are about to open their second office right here in the heart of Hereford led locally by David Bailey. Dave knows the area, and fostering, extremely well having worked for a fostering agency in this area previously. However, this is the first time that Dave has worked with a foster care agency that is proudly not for profit. Dave is really looking forward to working with Foster Carers in the area that share this focus and want to work with a Foster Care Agency where any surpluses made are retained within the organisation for the benefit of the looked after young people, rather than paid out to shareholders or investors as dividends or interest.
Fostering is where a young person lives with a foster family because they can’t live at home with their own family. Young people come into care for a wide variety of reasons and Young People At Heart’s objective is to achieve the best possible outcome for every young person placed in their care. The Young People at Heart Foster Carers provide a healthy and safe family environment in which the young people placed in their care can develop to their full potential.
Young People at Heart operate by two simple, but key values: Young people are at the heart of everything they do; and Quality is the cornerstone of their organisation.
Everything else, such as valuing and supporting Foster Carers and staff, comes from these values in order to achieve their objective.
Put simply, everything Young People at Heart do has the interests of young people at heart and with Dave Bailey as Western Area Manager right here in Herefordshire they are sure they will achieve that objective.
